Just Watched -

Transformers - Loved it from start to finish. Action packed, not to cheesey, decent story, and it had a bit of a love story, but didn't get bogged down in it.

At Home -

The Number 23 - Haven't heard anything good or bad about this one, but I like the idea of Jim Carey in a dramatic role.

Rome Season 1 Disc 3 - I have enjoyed the series so far, but I have been taking too much time in between viewings. It definitely works better if you watch in a short time frame. Lots of sex and violence in this series, which is good.

In the Queue -

Dexter Season 1 - This was actually recommended through Netflix. I read the summary and it looks interesting. However, I can't seem to get over the fact that the lead character is the gay guy from "Six Feet Under" and every time I see his face the scene of him getting slammed in the ass by the huge black cop pops into my head.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - Skipped this at the theatre. Looking forward to seeing Jessica Alba in the skin tight suit again. Even if the movie sucks, I get to see that for a couple of hours. Yay.

Just NetFlixed "Running With Scissors", the real life story of Augusen Burroughs based on his book.  A great ensemble cast led by Annette Bening and directed by the Nip/Tuck guy.  One of the best dark comedies I've ever seen if you find intense psychological problems, child abandonment, making stew out of dead cats, and alcohol and drug abuse to be funny.

Watched "The Number 23" tonight since there was no Sunday Night Football and I don't really like baseball. Pretty damn good movie. I told my wife about 3/4 of the way through it, that I define a good actor as someone who can get so into a character that I forget who they really are. Jim Carrey does a pretty damn good job in this movie. I totally forget that he was fuckin' Ace Ventura and totally believed that he was Walter Sparrow. My only complaint is that the ending wraps everything up a little too nicely. I would of liked to have been left guessing just a little.

Dexter is great!  I won't ruin season 2 for you.   Also, if you are not already watching Brotherhood on Showtime, I think season 1 is on DVD.  This is an awesome show!

How was your "alone" team with Jessica Alba?

I've been rolling through the X Files. I'm onto disc two of season two. Great, great stuff, although the drop off between one and two is noticeable.
