There's a video in the link:

http://dailycaller.com/2011/05/27/white-t-shirts-are-racist-because-um-shut-up/#ixzz1NkAwfZHN

This is beyond ridicilous, even for California, and the school principal is definitely weasel material (I nominate him for this week),especially when of the guys accused of being a white racist is an Asian dude.

Nevertheless, the dumbass Principal claims it allways safety first at his school!! (wonder if the blac k folks are allowed to wear black tee shirts,eh?)

So does that mean companies like Hanes and Fruit of the Loom support White Supremacy because they manufacture white T-Shirts in bulk?

Interesting, considering Hanes has a black spokesmen,/endorser in MJ? But, that's probably ok in their eyes, b/c it's MJ.

I have no idea if these kids are white supremacists or not; don't really care, either, since it's a First Amendment issue (assuming this is a public school).  But it is not to be doubted that kids communicate in code and dog whistles through attire.  This is where dress codes come from.  One day schools systems say fuck it and they're not dealing with the coded crap anymore.  Not because they care about creating an egalitarian and relatively classless microcosm of society, and an atmosphere of tolerance, but because they want to be sure they are seen as having taken measures in the event of litigation, as I imagine our resident lawler might confirm.

They used to have issues with kids wearing colors down here leading to gang ifhgts at the schools. The School bans bandannas. The kids then started wearing colored basbeball caps to circumvent that rule. When they banned those they started wearing colored shoe laces.  Now all Coastal School Districts now have uniforms as a result.  I agree with you that kids will always try to be slick in instances like this. My main issue I had with the principle was his declaration stating it was a white supremacy issue when some of the kids cited aren't white.  It made him look like a clueless moron making paranoid hyperbolic statements.

While this is no doubt true re: the principal coming off as a clueless moron, there are (and I have run into) people who held white supremacist beliefs who were either partially or completely non white.  Sometimes it's an intelligence issue, sometimes its a self-hate issue, and other times it's hating a racial group they aren't a part of just as much as a white supremacist would so they end up sharing some views despite being part of another group actual WP types wouldn't be a fan of.

Wow, I have got to quit posting when on my pain meds. That incoherent rambling makes me look simple. Your post made me think of this skit. Maybe when I am not drug addled I can try and figure out how to post the video.

my kids private school requires uniforms.  Nothing special, just khaki pants and a polo shirt with black shoes and laces

Yeah.  When I was a student I was firmly against school uniforms in principle (freedom of expression, etc.).  Now that I'm a parent I think otherwise.  Yes, we live in a consistent and orderly universe.

The biggest pain in my ass at our alternative school is all of the wannabees trying to wear their "colors".  For the older Middle School kids, I keep some polo type shirts that I don't wear anymore and make them wear those.

For my kids (3-5 graders) I buy some cheap polos for them and make them wear those.   These elementary aged kids are already trying to fit in gangs.

Life was a lot more simple when it was just the greasers v. the socias.
