In the other thread about a man eating cats it made me think about the "non conventional" types of animals that folks like to munch upon from time to time, and since it got on my mind I figured to ask the question: What kinds of non conventional ones have you my fellow poster eaten?

I figure non conventional meaning the kind you cannot run on out to your local Food Lion or Bi-Lo or Krogers to buy in the meat section.

I have eaten the following:

Deer..................I love deer meat

Squirrell

Rabbit

Buffalo

Alligator

Ostrich

Octopus

Shark

Crawdads (crayfish for you yankee posters)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have not eaten but would eat

Turtle

Bear

and I was once offered a piece of Possum pie,but definitely declined it.

Have eaten deer, elk, moose, antelope, bear, squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, crawdad, alligator, frog, rattlesnake, shark, and others that don't immediately come to mine.

And they all tasted like chicken.

Interesting story from down here in redneck land.

I knew this guy who was a real wild ass when I lived/worked in Goldsboro, NC.  His neighbor had a goat that kept geting loose and then would eat plants out of the guys garden.

Wildman has a pig pickin' and invites the neighbor over to share some food.  Turns out that he had slaugheted the guy's goat and then fed it to everyone.

I went to an African party where they nbrought the goat out first everyione me it then they killed it and roasted it, it was pretty morbid and tastey
