http://gma.yahoo.com/texas-man-found-guilty-killing-neighbor-dispute-053934284--abc-news-topstories.html

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A jury has convicted a Texas man for murdering his neighbor during a confrontation over loud music two years ago, rejecting a claim that he was within his rights to fatally shoot the man under Texas' version of a "stand-your-ground" law. Raul Rodriguez, 47, faces up to life in prison for the killing of Kelly Danaher, 36. Sentencing is scheduled to begin today.

(click link for rest of story, I am too lazy to cut and paste)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally, I am glad the tool got convicted, you don't just go after someone else with a gun just because it makes you feel like Bill Badass when you're packing and then be able to claim "self defense", and I hope the same thing happens to Zimmerman when his trial comes up.

Gun toting idiots who go looking for trouble are setting back gun owners rights and the right to self defense when it is necessary back with every single one of these incidents.

Does that last paragraph include rogue cops who feel that just bc they have a badge & a gun, they can get away with stuff too, then when it comes to the cop(s) getting in trouble, they try hiding behind their badge

Sounds like the guy provoked the entire incident.  Glad the jury felt that way

Stingmark, you know as well as I do that I was referring to private citizens and people who abuse the "stand your ground" laws, if you want to bash law enforcement officers how about creating your won thread with specific incidents and we'll talk about it there?

Im not bashing, Im asking if you feel the same way, or if it would be the same way for cops doing this as well?

Please don't compare this slam dunk case with Zimmerman.

Btw, the Floridians better take advantage of that law because when Zimmerman is found not guilty, they're going to need guns to thwart off the unemployed welfare breeding rioters.

I agree with this, that he could be found not guilty. Theres more and more info coming out on this regularly that seems to corroborate his story.

The Mom selling Trayvon merchandise and trying to capitalize on her son's death, was one of the saddest/funniest things I've seen related to this case.

The new black panther party has been threatening war on whitey for awhile now, we'll see if they stick to their word when the trials over.

Oh, I truly hope they stick to their word and awake a sleeping giant.
