Just a quick update on my situation.... the doctor called me this morning with the results of my biopsy, and it's Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have an appointment with an Oncologist today at 1:30, so I should know more this afternoon. Just keeping everyone informed. Please keep me in your prayers.

Hopefully if you take Chemo, they find a combo that will not affect you much at all Hammer.

My mom had stage 4 colon cancer that mastasized to her liver in area's and the first 3 or 4 treatments, she was sick as hell, but they kept tweaking the medicines to where they found the right combo that still caused the hair loss but she didn't get sick from it and still brought her markers down and didn't require her to take massive amounts of potassium and magnesium daily.  Even today, she still take chemo treatments twice a month, but she has her hair(it just doesn't grow), but other than that, you wouldn't know she is on chemo because she is fine after every treatment.

I wish you all the best.

I have a feeling that it would be ABVD if it's Chemo.

Probably.  I just hope he doesn't get real sick after the treatments.  It sucks being sick for days, then feel better, just to go through it again a few days later

You're preaching to the choir My friend. After a while, it seems like one long day. Alot has to do in what stage you're in also.

update on Hammer.  Its Hodgkins Lymphoma, he starts Chemo next Thursday on an every 2 weeks basis and prognosis is good that he will beat it (90-95% hes told) please keep the prayers and good vibes heading his way.

Good news.  I know that there have been some great advances made in Hodgkins Lymphoma treatment the past 20 years or so and if caught early, a lot of people are beating it now.  I'll keep him in my thoughts.
