Damn.  RIP.   The Grim Reaper continues to pound the music industry hard yet sacks of crap like Justin Beiber continue to breathe oxygen.

Wow was not expecting that one. Late 60s is starting to seem really old all of a sudden.

Never the coolest band in the world but a fucking good one. RIP.

This from Don Henley

“He was like a brother to me; we were family, and like most families, there was some dysfunction.
“But, the bond we forged 45 years ago was never broken, even during the 14 years that the Eagles were dissolved.”
Henley called him a “spark plug, the man with the plan.”

I don't think you can edit the topic, unless you're a mod. Don't worry about it, close enough.
RIP

I consider myself a huge Eagles fan and this is my absolute favourite song by them, sung by and co written by Glenn Frey. New Kid in Town
Solo fave - You Belong to the City

Saw him a few times solo and of course with Eagles. Always a fantastic show.

Some of these guys weren't going around anymore, but when you consider that Motörhead and The Eagles both had major tours in 2015 and now are done for all intents and purposes, it's really a kick in the teeth. There already weren't many left. In another decade, there will be literally no one left worth seeing.

The Eagles completed a substantial world tour in July 2015. His health must have fell hard and fast given the short time since then.
