I was watching a YouTube video of Curb Your Enthusiasm that was the best of Leon.  I liked the show before, but I loved it after he came on.
It got me thinking, what shows got better after a character was added?

I always thought when the Shield added Forest Whitaker as Jon Kavanaugh, it got more intense, and added a new dimension to the show as he and vic mackey escalated off of each other.

Everyone will disagree with me, but I thought Kirstie Alley made "Cheers" quite a bit better. I also thought Ted McGinley made "Married...With Children" a TON better.

Later,
Nate

Huge fan of Shield. Yeah, Kavanaugh was a great addition. A guy which good intentions who turned heel.

Ralphie Cifaretto and Phil Leotardo were awesome additions to the Sopranos. Both were great heel with different types of personalities.

"Sons of Anarchy" was improved by adding Jimmy Smits. It also brought in multiple new characters with former "The Shield" actors that kept me interested and stopped me from giving up on the show when they killed off my favorite characters.

I hated Ralph almost as much as Richie. Phil was a good addition though, I cheered any time Tony's crew got him. Blowing up his wire room, ran into the back of the truck in the street chase, shot ran over and killed while he was hiding.

Were the Jefferson's next door to Archie Bunker the whole time? Or did they move in at some point?
