How do I get rid of the two baby rabbits in my backyard?  Haven't seen the mother around lately, which makes me think that perhaps she met a coyote at some point.  The yard is fenced in, but they managed to sneak in and have taken up residence in my high fescue.  They pooping everywhere and eating my grass.  Since they don't pay property taxes, the only person allowed to poop and piss back there is me.
I've tried the sprinkler...doesn't seem longterm effective.
I don't own a BB gun.
Is there a humane way to get rid of them?   I've got some other ideas, but I don't want to be a total ass.

Rat or gopher poison. Your local dog catcher might loan you a cage/trap so you can release them back into the wild.

Try blood meal fertilizer. the scent of blood should scare them off.
Rabbits can be scared off by fox or coyote urine. Supposedly, you can get these products at garden centers. Also ask about scents that rabbits hate, like cayenne pepper & onions. You might want to consider rabbit repellents, such as this one.

You might want to try electronic devices that emit an annoying sound only rabbits & dogs can hear.

I've got some rat poison pellets in the garage...was hoping to use that as a last option. Not sure if they will touch it even if mixed with lettuce or carrots though.

Call your local township and see if there's someone who can come out to your homestead.

These little guys are fast.  I couldn't catch them without setting up some kind of trap.

I once had a cat and a rabbit they got along great

Just soak sticks or something in Amonia and leave it where they hang out for a couple days
