You may not have caught up to it yet. But - SPOILER ALERT ! Don’t read the rest if you don’t want to be spoiled! I was really hoping Kreese cut off the landlord’s pinky for trying to fuck Tory and became a massive face in the process. That was the coolest maneuver that Kreese ever did in any of the movies or in this show. The cigar cutter was the greatest gimmick in the show. And I love that the writers gave us some Kreese backstory. I actually have some sympathy for him, even after he fucked me over when I bought in to the whole living in a Veterans shelter and then stealing Cobra Kai from a drunken mourning Johnny in season 2. I am “Team Eagle Fang” now. My wife and I have been dropping Eagle Fang jokes for the past day and a half. Great shit and we are pissed that we now have to wait a year for the next season.

I love the show. Billy Zabka who plays Johnny is the best actor in it. He was portrayed as a one dimensional D Bag in the original movie and now he has depth and you care what happens to the guy. I never liked Daniel Larusso even in the original. You were supposed to like him but he had too much attitude to feel sorry for. You don't even get why Ali likes him. Maybe it was macchio's acting that made him unlikable. It's great that Elizabeth Shue is back. It wouldn't be complete without her. And she still looks hot. The big fight at the LaRusso house was 110% 1970's chop sockey choreography. It was kind of silly. The one fantastic thing in the last episode was they set up what will no doubt be the return of TERRY SILVER!!! I'm also glad Johnny chose Carmen.

But putting closure on that love triangle and letting them all move on was an essential piece to the story that had to be told. I thought the final scene with Daniel and Johnny finally combining dojos while “In the Air Tonight” played was the perfect cheeseball finish that every fan of that show loves. The Terry Silver tease now makes me want to watch Season 4 right now. I can’t believe we’ll have to wait another year or more.
