I honestly had no idea he was still doing this show post-2002 or so.

Should have called it quits long ago. I haven't watched in quite awhile but for a long time when I'd check out an episode it was the same god awful crap over and over and over again.
6 people on stage and 12 teeth between them. It may have started out as real people with real stories long ago but just became faker and faker. More fake than wrestling.
Same with that Maury Povich shithead. Early on he had some really topical shows and then it dissolved into
Luke you are the father. Fucj that shite.

It's been a work for the last 20 years or so. Jaime and Bill Dundee were "guests" many years ago.

Tons of indy wrestlers too.  I think it's become common knowledge that the shows were worked and Springer producers would look to strippers, bit actors, and wrestlers to "play" certain characters.  In fact, a few came back and played different characters over the years.  But I really haven't heard anything at all about this show in 15 years.  I can just imagine how ridiculous it got.

I personally know and am friends with 3 separate people who were paid to appear om Springer and play characters, the most well known is Indy wrestler Boogie Rob McBride, who appeared twice on Springer, as well as playing a role of redneck biker/hillbilly on Lizard Lick Towing.

Reality TV is all bullshit to start with, and Springer was the king of sleaze.

I just remembered this, but I think the last time I saw Springer he was a guest host on Raw and did something with the Bellas or other Divas, and they wound up accidentally injuring him and he had to be carried to the back.  I just remember him saying "This is so embarrassing" as they lifted him out of the ring.  LOL
