Arrested again..
Jesus Christ.

Artie: "What makes you think I'm snorting coke again?"

Probation Officer: "Well that huge bloody scab in what used to be your nose was my first clue."

Using court resources on someone like this is such a waste of time and money.  He's either going to get clean this year or he's going to die.  Does it really matter if you keep dragging him court?

How in the world did no one pick him in the Dead Pool?

At this point it's time to send him to prison...hell, it may be the only place he can get clean..

No one really gets clean in prison.  There are more drugs there than wherever Artie's getting them from.  The only way to get clean is to want to, and if Artie still doesn't want to after hitting 6 different rock bottoms, he just might not be capable of it.  It's a miracle he made it into his 50s.

send him there anyway. He's got so much preferential treatment the last 5 years it's insane. If he were black or a non-celebrity he'd be under the jail right now for all his busts...

Seriously thought of putting him on my dead pool list but then didn't.

As for the Stern show, Lange was funny back then. Now, from what I am told, he is just a novelty act and really is more sad than funny.

Howard's show has changed. I really liked the in-depth interviews he would do with celebs. He would get info out of them that they had not given anyone else. Now, he just seems to focus on the staff. A few months back, I stopped listening because I could not stand to hear 1 more word about JD, Sal or Schule. Clearly, Stern has decided to pack it in. I would be shocked if he signed another contract.

I agree.  While I am fine with putting dealers away (not weed though), I see no benefit in jailing users.  The cost to society is too high and they use anyway in jail.  If they are intent on killing themselves, then that is their choice.

I remember when Stern's celebrity interviews used to make major entertainment news.  I haven't even heard about a celebrity doing his show, much less talking about anything interesting, in years.

Paul McCartney, Jennifer Lawrence and Larry David were all good interviews.  JLaw didn't know it was live and wanted to edit some of the stuff she revealed.  He has gone away from all that now.  Mailing it in and waiting for the contract to expire.  I don't listen.  Went to sportstalk but that got old, fast.
