Chick-Fil-A #1, Dunkin #2 according to new poll

Chick-fil-A is winning over customers' hearts and stomachs.

The chicken chain rose to the No. 1 spot among fast-food chains in MBLM's 2019 Brand Intimacy study. The marketing agency analyzes people's emotional bonds with brands, surveying 6,200 people in the US, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates.

Chick-fil-A ranked tenth of all brands analyzed by MBLM, the highest of any food or beverage brand.

Dunkin' was the second most intimate of the fast-food brands

Starbucks was third
McDonald's was fourth

MBLM found that Chick-fil-A had a wide appeal among various demographics. 26.7% of people who visit Chick-fil-A said they were willing to pay up to 20% more at the chain, compared to 14.5% on average at other fast-food chains.

"Chick-fil-A is clearly an intimate brand to watch," MBLM wrote in a report released on Wednesday.

"It has climbed into the Top 10 Most Intimate Brands for the first time and is building a strong profile among a broad range of consumers: women, men, millennials, boomers, and people with a variety of incomes," the report continues. "It has extremely high rates of fusing and price resilience, which demonstrates the attachment users have to the brand."

Wonder if the Rainbow flag will be flying at half staff after this revelation.

It has the best homophobic chicken sandwich you will find anywhere....I am not surprised that it is that popular. It's primarily based in the south and it's a conservative run place.

I agree most don't care. In general most people don't care about things unless it touch's their lives in some way. I have a few friends who are gay. It would be hard to explain to them if I was giving business to a business with their views.

I’ve only maybe been to Chik-Fil-A a dozen times but I think they do a pretty good job. Everything is always correct, hot and they are always polite. Granted that’s all stuff that should be expected but is rarely experienced in my travels.

Granted that’s all stuff that should be expected but is rarely experienced in my travels. They took the age old McDonald's model, improved on it and applied it to chicken.  They are very consistent in the delivery of their service.  They do NOT discriminate in hiring or serving people.  Some are upset over the owner's opinion.  As it happens, I don't agree with his opinion.  However, it is just that - a private citizens opinion.  It won't stop me from eating the food.  I probably eat there 3 times a year.   It is very good for what it is.

Surveying the US, Mexico and the UAE seems a bit of an odd selection of countries.

I’m traveling in Florida right now and had chick fil a for the first time in my life. I was looking forward to it because my American relatives have mentioned it in passing before, and of course cuz it’s always in the news. It was alright, certainly nothing special. I love that they are closed Sunday’s. Old school.

It’s been years now and “legitimate media outlets” still can’t figure out when they’re being trolled.
