The proper term is Nuclear.

I hit dictionary.com which told me a group of idiots mis-pronounce this simple term.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nuclear

Unfortunately, my party's VP candidate is one of them.

It also left off a square for when she does things that are completely inappropriate...like incessantly winking at the camera, or giving a "shout out" (her words, not mine) to a bunch of Alaskan third graders, or delivering lines like "Doggone it" or "Say it ain't so, Joe!"

God this bitch is vapid.  All style, zero substance
I could apply the same principle to Obama.

No you couldn't.  Tell you what...give it a try.

God Obama is vapid.  All style, zero substance.

That was difficult.

Actually, DFG, you're contradicting yourself in the statement of somebody being vapid yet having style.  She did better than expected, so you are partially right-on.  "Vapid" means lacking style, so I don't get the connection.

Obama is all style and NO SUBSTANCE.  THIS MOTHERFUCKER HASN'T DONE ANYTHING COMPARED TO HIS OPPONENT OR EVEN HIS VP (who smokes him in every area)!

Let's at least be completely honest in our assessments.  Obama is a nobody.  He has no record.  That might be a good thing given our current state to some people, but the fucker has done NOTHING.

I've been completely honest in stating I disagree with the GOP views on Iraq (I support the DEM idea there) and I don't think it's unnatural to think that one's ideas can cross party lines.  McCain has a history of doing the same.  Obama is a 100% voted left-winger so don't even try to interpret fact.  It's fact.

About the left-wing candidate:
Obama:  He's a half-black, Alfred E-Neumann-lookalike, Oprah-creation that has not done a fucking thing before this.  Kind of like George Bush before he took office based upon the recommendation of his father to the GOP party leaders.  Not a good match.

If you gave me Al Gore as a candidate this time, you'd have something.   You might even make me consider my voting along party lines.

You do realize that Obama is maybe the 50th most qualified person in your party to run, right?

If you really look at the big picture, the closer candidate to Bush in terms of experience AND capabilities is Obama.

So, if you want more of the same all of you are truly complaining about, vote for Oprah boy.

That's it.  I've waited a while to state how I really feel but this guy is a fucking chooch any way you look at it.

FYI-where are the names of the <$200 donors?

Oh, I know, OPRAH WINFREY!:)

Firstly, "vapid" is also synonomous with an airhead.  That's the context I was using.  If it'll make things easier, feel free to substitute "dopey" for "vapid".  With that in mind, you can argue that Obama is an airhead, but you'd be wrong.  He's clearly intelligent...much more intelligent than Palin.  Does he have any substance?  Some.  Not as much as I'd like, but infinitely more than Palin.  And to be sure, he's certainly not vapid.

Secondly, the Dems are not my party.  Never have been, never will be.  Having said that, I cannot understand how any so called middle class citizen--which presumably you are, HBF--can identify with the GOP.  I try, but I just can't.

Thirdly, you're right; Obama has done nothing.  As far as being the 50th most qualified person in his party, again, could be right.  With that in mind, I'd still take him every day of the week and twice on Tuesday over McCain.  Why would you stick with the same old shit?  He can call himself a maverick all he wants...it doesn't mean he is one.

Let me ask you this, HBF...what do you really think McCain is going to bring to the table?  Do you really think he's the answer?  It's easy to bash Obama.  It's hard to tell me what your fossil is going to do when he's there.  Maverick my ass.  He's as much in the pocket of big business and the oil companies as his predecessor.  And after he kicks the bucket in 2011 (when I will also win the S&W Death Pool), you're going to have Ann Coulter Jr. in charge?  That's what you want?  Jeez-zus, good luck with that.  You know Palin thinks dinosaurs are 5,000 years old, right?

When all is said and done, I guess you could say this is really not an election of the best--it's an election of the "less worse".  But really--what election in our lifetime hasn't been an election of the "less worse"?  In any event, in this case, the less worse choice--by a mile--is Obama/Biden ticket.

I am not a Democrat, and I've approved this message.

I love it when you guys argue about a couple of worthless fucks who will only drive this country deeper into shit.

Seriously guys, who fucking cares? All Democrats and Republicans are crooks. Debating which one is better is silly.

Both candidates make good points, but when push comes to shove, they can't do shit. All talk, minimal action.

Both parties are absolute jokes....a fucking sham. Experience doesn't mean shit. Dubya supossedly had a few years of experience and look at what he did. Clinton had twice as much experience and he didn't do much. Same can be said for many presidents. Look at Nixon...tons of experience, and he took us off the gold standard. That was HUGE.

Either way you vote, it is a vote for a loser. Too bad the "none of the above" box isn't available on the ballot.

Nobody is gonna change anything. Same shit, different pile.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Obama has this wrapped up. I don't like him or McCain, but the obvious is hard to dismiss.

I don't really think anarchy's the answer, but whatever.  And since I'm not ready to go to my bomb shelter in the desert quite yet, I guess I'll just have to play my cards as they're dealt.

Look, I'm as cynical a fucker as the next guy...but I do hold out enough hope to think that maybe, in some way, who you elect can make a difference.  Case in point is this retard we have in the White House now.  If it were somebody with more than half a brain, do you think we'd really be in this shit we are now?

Short answer?  No.

The local 7/11 employee could do a better job than Bush, BUT it is so far gone anyways. Damage done. You can't turn back the clock. If someone else would have been elected in 2000, things might be different, but probably not that much. I remember someone who could have made a difference... JFK. Look what happened to him. I would love to hope that who we elect would be for the better, but the track record is spotty at best. Bad to worse, then back to bad. Lose-Lose.

Fuck it.  We're not going to change each other's votes (anyone arguing with me beyond this, I am not going to respond until tomorrow so consider you're "victory" pretty short)

Instead, I offer vintage Pearl Jam at their absolute finest (and I wonder, how the fuck did I turn down tickets to see these guys around this time?):

Fantastic choice for nighttime video viewing, HBF!  In '93-'94, I used to draw a comic strip for my college newspaper called "The Eddie Vedder Chronicles" in which a darker, borderline maniacal "Crazy Eddie Vedder" was the protagonist.  His persona was based on and inspired by this exact type of stage act.  Great memories!

*sigh* What a band.  I especially love the end where he plays the cymbals with the mic stand.  PJ--and the music scene in general--circa '91-'95 is very tough to beat.

I am struggling through the Angels game and that video made my night.

Pearl Jam indeed was top shelf during that time frame.

I am still kicking myself for turning down a free ticket to see Pearl Jam and Nirvana with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at (I think) the Roseland Ballroom on New Years Eve (must have been '12/31/91 IIRC).  I liked some girl at the time.  I'm an idiot!

Devastating!  I think I went to the New England version of that same show during the fall of '91, except that it was PJ (who were relative unknowns then, "Ten" had just been released), followed by Smashing Pumpkins, and headlined by RHCP.  One of the top five best shows all-time that I went to.  Believe it or not, in their little 40 min. set, PJ still blew everybody else away that night--and keep in mind the Pumpkins and RHCP put on great shows of their own.
