I live in NJ. It was warm and a little rainy all month. Lots of high 60s and some low 70s.

This month really started the weather turning.

I live in the epicenter of the anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers/personal Libertarians/conspiracy theorists. They're all the same people. I know this from the shit posted on my FB page.

It's no coincidence that I grew up / live in the densest red part of the state. There's a definite corollary there.

As for me, I wear a mask because of people like my mom, who has scleraderma / fibromyalgia / circulation issues / other immune suppressing issues / also had bladder cancer, and I don't want her to die because of people like me and my wife,
who both had COVID with no symptoms and could have literally walked around and killed others without knowing it.

Sorry for being selfish.

Yes, that's what I was saying up above.  It was in the 70s for much of October.  We had our AC on while putting up our Christmas tree.

No one's calling you selfish for trying to use common sense to look after an elderly loved one -- although asymptomatic transmission is less likely than transmission from someone who's presenting symptoms.  What many of us take issue with is that your fear doesn't justify the utter rending of our civil society, social lives, education, and economy.

If you want to wear a mask and stay home, have at it, but your support of the lockdowns makes you complicit in every pink slip, every small business that goes under (these lockdowns have been the greatest thing that ever happened to the Wall Street and tech oligarchs), every new drug addiction, every suicide, and every elderly person who dies alone because they're forbidden visits from family members.

Those numbers do not count.

Not yet at least.

Pintrest and Facespace made women start doing weird tree shit this year.  We had a Halloween tree and now a Thanksgiving tree.  Its silly woman shit and the silly motherfuckers compete with each other for the most annoying shit they can do with a tree so they can get internet high 5s from their jealous fagit friends.

My parents can't make it for Christmas so we're going to celebrate over Thanksgiving.  Assuming we don't all have the Covid.

The lockdowns do work. Locally We had the virus cases down to about 30 a day in late July and into August. Then they started opening things up like restaurants and movie theaters and kids went back to school and people were having weddings and now its almost 500 cases a day and we are heading for another lockdown . But It can be done. A lot of this was so preventable. Too many people listened to Trump or were too selfish or just undisciplined.
252,000 dead. Almost 2,000 dead yesterday. Is Trump still hiding and pouting? But don't just look at cases. You have to look at hospitalizations. Hospitals are being over run. It's not good.

I would cough on you because you're calling me selfish for not doing what you want me to do.

Retail stores here ( those allowed to be open ) as of today now have guidelines of those items that are considered essential and they are allowed to sell.

You cannot buy things such as toys or perfume, books, magazines or gift cards. Amongst other things.

You can however still go yo the liquour store or beer vendor ( but I think they have to close at 10pm, because COVID is apparently nocturnal) and you can still buy weed.
Presumably this is being done because if you were to buy say the latest issue of the Oprah magazine honoring some cop killer on the cover you likely infect the entire store instantly just by picking up the magazine. Rubbish.

Just when I think you can't get any more moronic.

The first guy that runs on repealing the 19th Amendment  gets my undying support, no matter what else he wants to do.

Ive been saying the same thing for years.  Allowing women to vote was devastating to this civilization.
