It could be anything. I love it when the chill starts to come in mid-October my favorite time of the year is until the end of January. I especially love the Holidays as it's usually in the heart of the NHL season and the World Junior Championships are coming up fast.

Football season in full swing MLB post season / World Series No NBA yet TV show season premieres (although most shows are unwatchable now) The weather starts to finally cool down a bit Great time of the year to go fishing My favorite holiday, Thanksgiving My younger kids go back to school so I don't have to go into my bathroom and lock the door when I masturbate

Spring. March and April. "Spring forward" happens, my birthday happens, baseball is starting, the snow on the north side of my house finally melts away, swallows come back to San Capistrano, and UPS guys start wearing shorts. Growing up, I loved it, because we not only had Spring Break, but sometime in early March new GI Joe stuff would hit the shelves and I'd spend all the paper route money I had been saving.

Fall, mainly October through mid-December. Usually the weather doesn't get too wintry during this time, just cooler temperatures and fewer insects. The older I get the less I like summer, just too humid and wasps swarming around. I remember being young and summer was magic even on those days you didn't do anything but sit around air conditioning and watch video tapes. Halloween has probably become my 2nd favorite holiday aside from Christmas now that I have a son. He loves it so much and we can find things to do every weekend leading up to it between going to the pumpkin patch to painting the pumpkins and decorating the house and of course trick-or-treating. It’s fun to see how much he enjoys it all. And then we usually get invited to an adult Halloween party or two in normal years where it’s always a good excuse for drunken, debaucherous fun.

Summer, particularly June because the weather is usually great and the days are long. The sun sets after 9:00 PM and it's still reasonably light for a while until it's completely down. It isn't completely dark until close to 9:45 PM.

I'll say this, Halloween has always really been my fav "Holiday" but Sat night my girlfriend took me to Forest City NC where she works and damn, it was legit like a scene out of a Christmas or Hallmark movie. Town is all lit up, ice skating rink, local radio station blasting Christmas tunes from big speakers placed around town..even during a pandemic it was kind of magical, I had never experienced that before..kind of got me back in the Christmas spirit for the first time in years..
