This Monday. And with two black regulars on the show coincidentally enough. Story from the USA Today.

NEW YORK — Eight months after CBS Radio and MSNBC fired him for racist remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team, shock jock legend Don Imus is set to launch his return Monday — this time on ABC Radio and a small rural cable TV channel.
The national furor that cost him his job and prompted a nationwide discussion of racism in April has all but disappeared: The Rev. Al Sharpton, perhaps Imus' staunchest critic, did not return a call on Imus' return to the public stage.

Perhaps that's because this show will be unlike his old, all-white boys club. An executive familiar with the closely guarded new format, who asked not to be identified, says that two African-Americans will be regulars. Returning with Imus will be newsreader Charles McCord.

The kickoff is Monday, when ABC begins syndicating his radio show weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. to a few dozen stations, and the RFD-TV (as in Rural Free Delivery) cable channel begins simulcasting the talkfest to some 30 million households.

Since apologizing publicly and in private to the basketball team, Imus has been mum. He'll break that silence when he talks exclusively to ABC's Barbara Walters Thursday for her "Most Fascinating People of 2007" special.

It's a shame they had to hire 2 black people for the show.  He shouldn't have changed a thing and his first joke back on the air should be a black joke.  These people will never learn if everyone keeps bowing down and acting like a pussy.

And Don Imus is not a "fascinating" person, in 2007 or 1967.  He's a guy who told a bad joke and got railroaded.  No one gave a fuck before that joke, no one wil give a fuck about him next week.  Some black guys who make a living off of pretend racism (because there's not as much money in real racism) cashed in, that's not fascinating.

Agreed. I had never heard of him before his comment blew up. Didn't care after it happened. Don't care now.
