Before the era when half-minute championship "reigns" through booking flukes would become common enough, I was always amused by the way the having the NWA world title for four days was more an ignominious detriment to Tommy Rich's resume than something that really boosted his credibility.

In the AWA run in 1987, they sure did push the "Former NWA champion" status to the moon, which only served to amuse anybody to whom it might matter, since they knew it was a fluke reign that held the record for shortest ever.
