Lynn screwed up his career by running into the wall too many times. He's one of those coulda, shoulda, woulda guys.

Yep.  But he screwed up his career more by leaving the cozy confines of Fenway.  That ballpark was tailor made for him, and many feel he would've been a HoFer had he stayed.

I couldn't even remember who played CF in the season immediately following Lynn's departure, so I had to look it up.  Frikken Rick Miller.  Bleah, what a downgrade.  Although I did like it when they brought in Tony Armas a couple seasons later.

Still, he was no Freddie Lynn.
