But Greg IS selling cars nowadays, isn't he?  Maybe--just maybe--fbf2001 has a point...

I mean, think about it; do you really think if Verne hadn't given Greg a ready-made career vehicle, he would've pursued wrestling on his own, or had promoters begging him to come to their territory?  He definitely wasn't a no-brainer star; IMO, his workrate was average (slightly above average during his prime, but for the most part average) and his his look was well below average.  I couldn't stand him when the AWA first caught my attention on the ESPN shows back in 1985, and on the ESPN Classics shows today--with the magic that is DVR--his matches are the only ones I consistently fast forward through. 

IMHO, he is just so lacking in the charisma department it is almost sad, really.  If I live to be a thousand, I will never understand how anybody found his work exciting.
