I was there for the first ever Hulk Hogan/Ric Flair matchup in Dayton Ohio. It was unadvertised (as far as I know) and came after the end of one of their 4 or 5 hour long Superstars tapings.

Not the best match looking back on it (Flair won by countout after Heenan kept Hogan from getting back in the ring) but I don't think I marked out harder back then.

That was the first in-ring meeting...What was the crowd reaction?

Off the charts. When Hogan's music hit and Flair was already in the ring, the roof came off. I spent the entire match marking out for it. For me the best part was that it wasn't announced, so it was a total surprise for me.
