|For some odd reason Toronto Mayor Rob Ford held a media conference today wearing a Broncos jersey.
EDIT - apparently Ford was wearing the Denver # 74 jersey in honour of Toronto native Denver tackle Orlando Franklin.
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has sworn his allegiance for Super Bowl XLVIII ... and he's pulling for the Denver Broncos.
Ford addressed the media on Monday wearing a Broncos jersey, emblazened with the number 74: the jersey of Broncos tackle Orlando Franklin who grew up in Toronto.
The mayor was first seen in the jersey entering his office and kept it on for the media conference where he discussed the city's budget.
He did not directly address the jersey itself in his comments.
It's not the first time Ford has put his football fandom on display. He donned a Toronto Argonauts jersey prior to the team's CFL East Final match-up against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Ford would attend that game, despite not being an invited guest of the Argonauts. The Ticats won the East Final 36-24 with Ford watching from the stands amongst the paying customers.
