Please see my post in the General Discussion forum related to Job Risk and Accountability.

I know the NFL is probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, marketing entities in history.

The assumption is that they will eat up and destroy any competition.

There are many disgruntled NFL fans with the new rule changes and it seems to be growing according to the major media sources.

I know it would not fly in the NFL of having players sign waivers related to their future health issues, such as concussions and future cognitive issues, especially with the player's union, but what if another league back by big money did do this?

And no, not like the XFL, which in my opinion went way over the top.   I am talking about basically the same rules and style of play only allowing the big hits and keeping offenses and defenses on the same balance.   It is the philosophy that scoring points is the attraction, but sort of like wrestling, this seems to appeal more to the younger and newer fans.   Many fans still like watching a grind it out three downs and a cloud of dust brand of football.

Opinions?
