Saw bits and pieces of Piper in Mid-Atlantic, via Maple Leaf Wrestling, but it wasn't until his arrival in the WWF that I got a chance to truly enjoy his work, and fortunately for me (and so many others) he upped his game to amazing heights.  Over the course of his career, Flair was a better heel, but for a year and half after arriving at Titan, Roddy blew him and everyone else out of the water.  I'd say he had more charisma than Hulk Hogan during 1984-85.

Yeah, it's all over the news today but if one week ago you'd asked 100 guys 40-50 years old "who smashed a coconut over Jimmy Snuka's head?" I'd say 80-90 of them would have given you the correct answer without hesitation.  He was a cultural marker for a certain generation.

And for the record, I still think his TNT segment where he dissected the Snuka angle and then belted Lord Al into next week was his greatest moment.
