DeMar DeRozan failed to reach 30 points in a game for the first time this season as the Toronto Raptors fell 96-91 to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night.

The 6-foot-7 shooting guard finished the contest with 23 points on 7-of-20 shooting, adding four rebounds and three assists in the defeat. It was the second time this season that the USC product failed to shoot over 50 percent in a game.

DeRozan entered Sunday's contest scoring at a ridiculous pace, becoming the first player since Michael Jordan to start a season with five straight 30-point games following his 34-point explosion on Friday night.

Even after Sunday's performance, DeRozan should be a strong candidate to take home Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors, totaling 130 points over four contests.

The Raptors will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they take on Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
