How do you go into the 2017 season with any sense of positivity or optimism, even with the Falcons being a top team regardless?
How they're feeling now is exactly how the Patriots fans felt after the 2008 SB (the one in which they would've gone undefeated had they won).  That one was just brutal.  But even though this one was way worse, and even though it'll be a horrible off season, I think they'll be fine in the long run.  The Falcons are a good team with a great foundation in place.  If they can replace Shanahan with even a decent OC, they should be right in contention for the NFC title once again.
They have a lot of weapons.  I was surprised when the Browns cut Gabriel, then again they are the Browns.  Probably need to tighten up on the D a bit.  They have a very good chance of getting back there at least once in the next few years.
