|The government of Turkey has issued an arrest warrant for Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter, according to pro-government newspaper Sabah, as cited by AFP.
The newspaper also said an investigation has been opened into Kanter's alleged "membership of an armed terrorist organization" due to his support for exiled Turkish leader Fethullah Gulen, who is a sworn enemy of the government of president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Kanter swiftly replied on Twitter with "you can't catch me, don't waste your breath," according to translation by Reuters.

It's the latest drama for Kanter, who was able to return to the United States over the weekend after having his Turkish passport revoked while traveling in Europe. Effectively rendered stateless, he is now attempting to get U.S. citizenship.

Born in Switzerland to Turkish parents, Kanter has frequently been a target of threats and online abuse over his political beliefs in the past. This has apparently also included his family disowning him.
