Is Giancarlo Stanton even human?

The Miami Marlins behemoth became the first player in 2017 to hit 40 home runs with a monster shot off Colorado Rockies right-hander Jon Gray on Friday.

In doing so, he becomes only the second player in franchise history to reach the mark. He's now only two long balls shy of tying Gary Sheffield's Marlins record set in 1996.

Stanton has been on an absolute tear of late, blasting 19 bombs over his last 31 games including seven in his last eight.
