A group of protesters at Busch Stadium in St. Louis unfurled a banner during theCardinals-Brewers game Friday that featured the Cardinals' mascot holding a sign saying "Racism Lives Here," while also including the words "Stop Killing Us."
The protest comes at a time when there is major tension in the city following a recent non-guilty verdict for former police offer Jason Stockley, who was acquitted in the shooting of Anthony Lamar Smith in 2011. Stockley is white, while Smith was black.
No arrests were made at the stadium, though the protesters were asked to leave, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Two weeks ago, demonstrators hung a banner off the Green Monster at Fenway Park in Boston reading, "Racism is as American as Baseball."
