The Cleveland Indians will finish the regular season with the American League's best record after the Boston Red Sox defeated the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Because of Boston's win, Cleveland secures home-field advantage throughout the American League side of the postseason and will host the American League Division Series against the winner of Tuesday's wild-card game.

The Indians, who reached the World Series last season, entered Saturday with 101 wins, the most in franchise history since the team won 111 in 1954.

Of their 101 wins, 22 came during a winning streak spanning from Aug. 24 through Sept. 15.

Cleveland clinched their second consecutive AL Central title earlier this month.
