The Colorado Rockies are now the final team to secure a postseason berth.

Thanks to the Milwaukee Brewers' loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado has officially clinched the second National League wild-card spot and will face the Arizona Diamondbacks in the one-game playoff Wednesday at Chase Field.

While anything can happen in a one-game showdown, the Diamondbacks may hold the edge over the Rockies before factoring in their home-field advantage. Arizona has won 11 of the 19 games between the two this season.

The winner of Wednesday's wild-card game will then move on to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.

With their magic number down to one heading into Saturday, the Rockies either needed to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers or hope for a Brewers loss against St. Louis in order to earn their first postseason berth since 2009.

The baseball gods were clearly smiling on the Rockies, however, as before their game got underway, Milwaukee surrendered a 6-0 lead in their game against the Cardinals to finalize the sole missing piece in the postseason picture.
