I think a good general rule of thumb is if you're in your 30s and you want to date a girl that requires parental permission, you're probably not in a good place

Moore's comments on this have been so ridiculously bad, I can't believe he's survived in politics all these years.  I guess when you're only known in Alabama you just have to sporadically scream "Jesus" and the rednecks don't care about anything else, but on the national stage articulation sometimes helps.  When tossed a softball question by Hannity to get his side of the story out (and there obviously wasn't going to be a tougher follow-up question), you got this ridiculous exchange:

HANNITY: At that time in your life—you do remember these girls—let me ask you this. Would it be unusual for you as a 32-year-old guy to have dated a woman as young as 17, that would be what a 15 year difference? Or 18? Do you remember dating girls that young at that time?”
MOORE: “Not generally, no. And if I did I’m not going to dispute anything or anything like that.”
HANNITY: “But you don’t specifically remember having any girlfriend that was in her teens even at that time?”
MOORE: “No, I don’t remember that and I don’t remember dating any girl without the permission of her mother. And I think in her statement, she said her mother actually encouraged her to go out with me.”

So that's a yes to all the allegations.  Ask me if I ever dated a 14-year old and my answer is "Absolutely not, never, period."  Hell, I never even dated a 14-year old when I was 14.  The answer to any scandal is never to say "Generally, no."  "Generally, no" is "Occasionally, yes."  And then 5 seconds later he basically admits to it.

This thread was great before AA ruined it.
