You aren't kidding.  People have busted Dusty Baker's balls for years about how he handles a pitching staff but Terry Collins ruined Harvey that night.  I truly believe Harvey was hurting before that 9th inning, with all the innings he threw that year and that postseason.  And that night was cold too.  Harvey wanted to finish the job but was out of gas by the 7th.  The 8th was all guts and fumes.  They should have gone to Familia and let him blow it instead, because Familia wasn't exactly blowing the doors off in the WS.

The list of young pitchers that got ruined in the postseason is long.  Harvey's doctor and agent both said he should be shut down a la Stephen Strasburg a couple years earlier (which cost the Nationals a WS birth by the way), but Harvey took so much crap from the media and some teammates that he said fuck it, I'm all in.  Big mistake - players cannot and must not forget that it's a business and if you ruin yourself you will be thrown away and nobody will care that you did it "for the team".  Ask Wilson Alvarez, Mark Prior, etc.
