How about Feb. 18-22?  That's the new plan.  I'm aware of the early sunsets and dealt with the same thing when I went to London/Paris/Rome a few Christmases ago, and it really wasn't as bad as I expected.

Iceland is way, way further north than London. It's slightly further north than Fairbanks, Alaska for an American comparison. The end of February is better, with 9 hours of sunlight. The temperature will be somewhere around 0 C or 32 F.
