|Regarding Dusty doing his jive talking babyface interviews in the 1970s when so many other babyfaces were very staid and humble, every promotion seemed to have one wilder or more colorful babyface just to break the mold. In the AWA The Crusher would do his gravely voiced interviews about drinking beer at the local bars and dancing the polka with fat barmaids. The idea was to not have an entire lineup of Bob Backlund types, but at the same time it was recognized that an entire babyface roster of colorful guys would have been overkill. Dusty, Crusher, and others got over big by being the only or among the very few with that sort of charisma and rap.
