I always thought that would happen with Hogan. Match rules that Bundy wanted a 5 count to end the Match. Hogan kicks out at four, Hogan either wins by DQ, or loses by Countout.

Bundy says he the uncrowned champion because he had Hogan down for a 3 count.

Next Month Rematch Hogan wins by pin tells the Ref to count to 5.

I can't remember any Bundy opponent ever kicking out before 5 in the WWF, and even as a kid I kept waiting for it because it seemed like an obvious thing to have happen. I didn't realize until many years later that he had that gimmick before.  Vince really didn't not change anything about 95% of the guys from the territories that he acquired during the '80s.  There was zero character development, just better marketing.  DiBiase and a handful of others are the only exceptions.

This thread was great before AA ruined it.
