I thought it was the best Wrestlemania in years. The party I attended was a good time. We got a great match in Kofi over Bryan and several good to decent ones. Nothing was irredeemably horrible. The fans were not punished for liking or not liking someone that went against the grain of the WWE's booking. There were some matches in which I wish the winners and losers were swapped, but there were no miscarriages of justice or obvious WTF booking moves. Even Kurt Angle losing, while not a move I'd have made or thought was wise, makes enough sense.

The big problem is the thing now takes far too long. I watched with a group of guys and people were getting impatient as it went along, the highlight being when we determined there were four matches left and then someone reminded everybody that the Elias segment was still to come, leading one guy to moan "Jesus Christ!" in the most frustrated and annoyed tone of voice possible. By the time it was done, we were done. I can't imagine what it must have been like in the stadium.

The live crowd was dead by the last quarter of the show when it should have been peaking. There is probably a snowball's chance in hell, but hopefully the WWE has seen the negative impact on the show and will start to pull back on the number of bouts and the length of the show. I get wanting to include everyone and to give fans their bang for the buck, but it's worth it to hurt some feelings backstage in order to do right by the fans for whom a 7 hours plus show is too much of a good thing.
