I met Ric Flair at Caroline's in NYC in I believe 2008 or 2009. Whenever he lost to HBK to end his career, and he started doing the shows/shoot interview stuff. I hated it. Took my wife and kids, and it just sucked balls. My kids didn't really mind standing in line because the whole time they could see Ric, but when they got to the front of the line, they got pictures and hand shakes and autographs but to be honest it seemed like Flair wanted to be anywhere else. My son had him sign an action figure and asked if it could be signed "To Michael", and I asked him to sign a picture "Nature Boy". Well, he signed my sons figure with Nature Boy, and then he asked me who I wanted the picture made out to. My son wasn't disappointed, he actually laughed which says a lot for a ten year old. I convinced him he got the better deal because someday he could sell it. His response was "I'll NEVER sell this!". Well guess what, when he got his car at 17, Flair was one of the first things he got rid of to get money to pay for shit. He got $100 for it, and remembered what I told him. I still have the picture here in my office.
wish there was a "like" button, great story. personally, i have never been to one.
