The WWF was on fire at this time, so I don't see the missed opportunity since it would've just been more headaches booking the women and dealing with Moolah's shit and wouldn't mean one extra dime in Vince's pockets.  Sure you can promote special attraction women's matches on the B shows that Hogan wasn't wrestling on, and maybe the fans would get into some of it, but I don't see that impacting attendance by even 1 person.
