|The favorite QB of most NFL fans seems to be the second stringer unless your team has an elite guy, and even then there are fans who are convinced the team ought to trade that elite QB for a stash of draft picks or let him walk as a free agent to clear cap space because they're convinced the backup is as good or better. Often this opinion is based on some gaudy preseason stats. Will fans ever get that the backup built those numbers against the other team's stiffs in a meaningless game and it's a whole other thing compared to facing an opponents first team defense in a real game?
