|In 2003-04, the Portland Trailblazers traded Rasheed Wallace. He ultimately wound up with the Detroit Pistons with whom he won an NBA Championship that season. However, in between those two teams he wound up with the Atlanta Hawks. He played exactly one game in a Hawks uniform. That team never intended to keep him. They were in full rebuilding mode and were clearing out salary in favor of draft picks, less expensive role players, and contracts of guys they didn't want that would expire after 2003-04 so they could get the cap room back. It was known from the moment he arrived in Atlanta that Sheed wasn't staying long. He had that one game, then the All Star break happened and he was traded out.
