I'm being 100% honest here. I didn't even realize that Sports Illustrated still printed a magazine, and I work at an advertising company. I thought that SI was strictly online now and has been for a few years. So I guess it makes sense as to why they are cutting staff when their target market doesn't even realize they still exist.

Another 100% honest comment: In the past five years, the only magazines that have been purchased in my house are four separate LIFE magazine photo tributes that were relating to either Disney or the Royal Family (my wife is a sucker for glossy picture magazines), and the Entertainment Weekly that had Jon Snow on the cover this past spring. I have also gotten through work for her a complete set of the EW covers of GoT and Buffy the Vampire Slayer because she likes those. They all just sit neatly in a drawer, unused.
