Open - the Andre Agassi autobiography

Dream Team: How Michael, Magic, Larry, Charles, and the Greatest Team of All Time Conquered the World and Changed the Game of Basketball Forever

The Jesse Stone novel series by Robert B. Parker - I stumbled across a Jesse Stone TV movie starring Tom Selleck that was airing on the Hallmark Channel and was hooked.

The Spenser novel series also written by Robert B. Parker. I was a fan of the "Spenser for Hire" TV series that starred Robert Urich and Avery Brooks. Found out that the show was based on this series of books.

A number of books written by Dallas L. Barnes. A number of Barnes' books were adapted into episodes of the TV show "Hunter"

I too loved "Spenser For Hire" the TV series and have read many of the novels. Currently reading Cold Service.

Do you find the books a little simplistic in terms of the writing style? They are fairly quick reads but to me are no where near as "fleshed out" as the books of Michael Connelly "Harry Bosch" or Jeffrey Deaver "Lincoln Rhyme " to name a couple in sort of the same genre?

Nothing wrong with books you can breeze through in a few hours but with Parker I feel I can really be doing a couple other things while I'm reading and won't be distracted whereas most of the time I like relative quiet while I'm reading or some low easy listening background music.
