James Patterson's "NYPD Red" series. I just finished the first book in the series and it was pretty good. Took about 7-8 hours or so to complete.

Patterson must do nothing but write 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. The guy writes a number of children's book series ("Dog Diaries", "Treasure Hunters", "I Funny", "Middle School" plus many more), young adult series ("Maximum Ride", "Daniel X", plus more), and adult titles as well.

Our local library has a lot of James Patterson e-books as well as a lot of Robert B Parker e-books available so they have been 2 of my favorite authors to read during the pandemic. Thanks to our Kindles, my family has been able to simply download the e-books from the library's Overdrive account instead of needing to go to the library in  person.
