Because it's the truth.  I had to see it, you should have to envision it.  Choose your reading material wisely.

Ahh, senior ditch day.  Like handsprings through tulips in a candy cane forest or breathing the cool breeze of the ocean's freedom against your cheek.  Or you could not be totally gay about it and lay some money down on some cage fighting.

My buddies and I are walking down the ramp toward the area where the two buffaloes were fighting that time, getting ready to grab another friend then leave campus.  Now, to the left was the buffalo-fight area.  To the right was the outfield grass of the school's baseball field.

When what to our wondering eyes should appear, but two chain link U-shaped batting cages pushed together, and eighteen ghetto gangbangers encircling it, whooping and hollering.  We approach slowly, so as not to frighten anyone.  And sure enough, there's two guys inside, beating the living daylights out of each other.

Someone had taken two batting cages, and pushed them together.  A crowd had gathered.  Two guys get in, fight, one guy drops, they pull the cages apart, he leaves, another enters, and so on.  And, I swear to God, there's a guy on the side, giggling and counting an impressive handful of cash.

I have to say, the most impressive are the small guys.  One guy jumped up, hung from the cage and double-foot kicked his opponent in the mouth, garnering him the win.

We watched, for several minutes, and were invited to place a wager or compete if we liked.  We declined, and I confess, my rejection of the offer was wholly based on race.  Not a chance in hell you're throwing me in there.
