With the utmost respect to dbaker the following 1974 results are incorrect:

Thursday 10 January 1974 Adelaide, South Australia (SA), Australia Tiger Jeet Singh beat Wahoo McDaniel to win IWA (Australia) Title

McDaniel only made one tour of Australia - that tour was in 1972. Wahoo never wrestled in Australia in 1974.

Furthermore, neither Roy Heffernan nor Tiger Jeet Singh ever held Australia’s IWA Title. Heffernan retired prior to 1974. Singh last wrestled in Australia in 1973.

The IWA World Title was recognised by Jim Barnett’s World Championship Wrestling promotion in Australia from October 1964 to December 1970. This championship was not in existence in 1974. Barnett introduced the Austra Asian Title in April 1972 and this championship was recognised by the World Championship Wrestling promotion in Australia until December 1978.

Cheers!

Ed
