Vince McMahon with both quads torn rebooking the Royal Rumble was odd, to say the least.

Jesus Christ, I'd forgotten about Vince blowing out both quads at once. That had to be a whole new universe of pain. And he didn't "Nash It," either, screaming and going fetal in the corner.

Most likely because he was already zonked out on so much shit he didn't feel the pain anyway

Houston backdrops Taylor out of a piledriver attempt, Taylor takes Houston over with a sunset flip....Houston starts to go over into the sunset then halfway through decides not to....sits up and starts punching Taylor, on the bell sounds as soon as Houston sits up...After maybe 7 minutes of wrestling.....

The Bell sounds in the middle of a move Houston starts to cooperate with then decides not to....The ref calls for the bell AFTER it starts ringing.....So the announcers assume it's a draw....but then Taylor is declared the winner....Not by DQ, not by decision....Just the winner....The announcers are like WTF....

So then they assume Houston was DQ'd for throwing punches....but the bell sounds as he throws the first punch...The entire situation made NO SENSE, especially being an opener.....Definitely watch it if you have it....

So I ask you....not counting Screw jobs, what's the strangest unplanned finished you've ever seen in a wrestling match?
The ref called for the bell because he counted three when Taylor dropped an elbow and covered him. Houston kicked out a full second before he ever counted the three, though. Ref was asking for the bell, but they didn't ring it for another 30 seconds or so when that sequence you mentioned was going on. It was fuckin' awful.

He's exactly right. Check out 0:27 on youtube.

I mentioned it here before: The Dusty Vs Bobby Eaton US title match. Bobby pins Dusty, and when Cornette grabs the belt(and pushes the ref down), Dusty somehow rolls Bobby over, pins him, and somehow walk away with the title. You can hear Ross(I think) say:"Bobby Eaton is the new US champ....No, wait. Dusty pins him, what?"

I just looked @ the tv then and said WTF.

At Comiskey Park when they used the scoreboard for a an instant replay in the Freebirds victory over The Road Warriors.

Verne came out and instructed for the replay to be shown and sure enough it was overturned in the Roadies favor.

It may be the only time this has happened.

How about that " what the f*ck just happened " ending of the main event at Uncensored 96 ???? You had 7 heels ( Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Kevin Sullivan, Meng, Barbarian, Ze Gangsta and The Ultimate Solution ) just standing around while Hulk Hogan walked back into the cage to pin Ric Flair.

That surprises you Bob? Hogan is notorious for this shit. It's called "creative control", and boy did he like to use it.:)

If I recall the match right, Savage forgot to pin Flair and started to just leave the ring as if the match was over. Hogan had to remind him to pin Flair.

If you watch enough of those Madison Square Garden shows, they always seemed to have kooky botched pins.

There is the classic Ron Shaw beats David Sammartino, and the Brody vs, Lugar Cage match.

I know the angle was the Hebners were either corrupted or plastic surgery to ignore Hogan. But man that was the lousiest 3 count ever. Oh BTW, Andre's just tosses Hogan to the mat for a 3 count?

The entire idea of that super bad 3 count was just that, to make it look like THE worst three-count ever. It's the maximum "Hogan got screwed" thing that they could do to get the title off Hogan.

Andre's toss, same idea, although I imagine it was supposed to look a wee bit better than that. Andre just couldn't do anything anymore.

Yup, every show from the late '70s to mid '80s that I've seen has a really "WTF?!" finish, sometimes more than one.  And the announcers never try to sell anything, they're usually like, "Uh, I don't know what just happened."

That's EXACTLY what happened....I still remember it today....Hogan is leaving the cage, Savage is following behind him...As Savage begins to exit, Hogan turns and reminds him he's gotta make the pin....Savage leaps over, does a quick cover and splits....It was ridiculous....

There's a Harley Race v. Tony Garea MSG match from 1986 where Race just 'kills' Garea and finishes him off with a high cradle suplex and the ref counts '1-2' and Race holds-on as Garea is STILL pinned and the ref finally does a fast '1-2-3' to end it. Monsoon even berates the ref for the shitty count.
