My only problem with live albums and picking them is I'm a bigger fan of bootlegs than official live releases. Especially the Stones, I love Ya Ya's, but I have a few boots from that tour that are 1000x better than the official release..

when I had tapes my bootleg collection was over 1000 shows (500 Dead and 500 of everything from Stones, Pink Floyd, Dylan, Neil Young, The Who, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Neville Brothers, Eric Clapton and many others)

I don't think this has been mentioned before, but it probably should have been - CSN&Y's Four Way Street is a great album.
