I've got the WWE financed book about Andre that came out last year or the year before on hold at the library and I'm wondering if it is worth reading. If it's no good then I'll just take it off my queue as I have a HUGE list of books and comics piled up here as it is to read.
I've heard nothing about it myself and I'd rather hear what you guys say about it rather than some anonymous online review.

Also what about the new Ted Dibiase book he did with WWE, is it worth a read?
I heard the first book he put out on his own wasn't that good as it dealt a lot with his ministry and spiritual journey. If I'm looking to be saved I'm not going to seek out Ted Dibiase for guidance, you know what I'm saying?

Thanks.

I flipped through both books at Chapters. I thought the Dibiase book was real good. He talks about the piledriver angle in Georgia, having heat with Jim Barnett, playing around with cocaine, the angle with Flair and Murdoch and pretty much every other big angle he did. I think I lost interest around his 1988 career.

The Andre book is a decent read, I read parts at my local Barnes and Noble. It doesn't seem like anything you won't already know, but it does go into some good detail about matches and backstage and Vince reactions to certain things. Most interesting to me was how hurt Vince was when Andre appeared on WCW tv, and how when Andre found out he refused any other promotions appearances.

The Andre book is terrible. Anyone on this board could have written it, considering much of it is just a play-by-play of videos the writer watched. There are some interesting anecdotes and comments from people close to Andre, but most of the book was just the boring play-by-play. Because of this, the book barely touched on anything that isn't from the taping era.

Dibiase book is OK. Don't remember much about it, but don't remember it as being dreadful either.

Not in any real depth. He must not have had any video of them.

At Clash 20. It was a celebration of 20 years of wrestling on TBS. Before the card began, they had this red carpet of guys getting out of vehicles. Andre was one of them.

It was also Andre's last appearance on TV. That clash was September 1992 and he died in January of 1993.

Was it his last appearance on American TV or TV period?
If only American, what was his last overall appearance on TV?
