The official title of the forthcoming World Wrestling Entertainment DVD devoted to former NWA World and WWF Intercontinental champion Ricky Steamboat is "Ricky Steamboat: Life of a Dragon." The official synopsis for the DVD reads: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is one of the most legendary performers in the history of sports entertainment. The popular superstar made his name in the Carolina territory and went on to become a fan favorite in WCW and WWE. His battles with Ric Flair for the NWA Championship kept fans on the edge of their seats and his Intercontinental Championship match with "Macho Man" Randy Savage is considered by many the greatest match in WrestleMania annals. Now for the first time ever on DVD, fans can relive the career of Ricky Steamboat. This 3-DVD set has a biographical documentary feature on Steamboat's life, as well as some of the biggest matches of his career. The DVD will be released Tuesday 6/29. I wonder if there will be any of the feud w/him and Jake? The DDT on the floor was a tremendous angle, and they had some very good matches together, IMO. Steamer definitely deserves to shine on this set. Lets hope the WWE doesn't mess this up. |

Had a pretty decent Martial Arts Match with Muraco in '86. Some good tv matches with Cactus Jack in WCW in '91-'92. |

When he came back to WWE in '91, he was supposed to wrestle Mr. Perfect for the I-C Title on a TV taping ( just before Summerslam ), but instead he beat Col. Mustafa in five minutes. |

The Flair/Steamboat US Title feud in 1978 is well depicted on Mid Atlantic footage already and is in surprisingly pristine shape. I'd like to see any more of that if it's around and some of the Steamboat/Youngblood vs. Jones/Von Raschke stuff. |

I'd really love to see the Flair match from Boogie Jam '84 and the Savage cage match from the Nassau Coliseum. |

Anything from WCW '92-'93 will be tainted because of WWE editing out Jesse Ventura's commentary. |
