Turn out the light. The Party is over.

The Cubs bullpen is much worse than I thought originally. Gonna be a long year with that pen.

I knew they were in for it when I heard they were carrying three rooks in the BP this year.

My brother told me yesterday we're going to see the immortal matchup of Tom Gorzellany vs. Felipe Paulino. Now I know why Cubs fans drink excessively at the games.

Yep. Marmol made the heart of the Brewers' order look foolish, too.

Just another "big" offseason bullpen signing for my Brewers, way to cough up a 3 run lead donkeys. Bush deserved better, he pitched ok today.

I said majority not every team. Of course The Phillies are good. So are The Cards. After that though, uhhh . The Giants? The Dodgers? The Reds? The Marlins? Can't say any of those teams are good yet.

Their pitching is top notch. Top 1 or 2 in the majors. They just need a little more consistency with hitting the ball. So far so good.

Somebody has to win that division. If it isn't the Dodgers, it will be the Giants. Lincecum is one of the best if not the best starting pitcher in baseball.

Lincecum is the best Pitcher in the game. The Guy is really fun to watch. Halladay is most likely, the Second best.

Carlos Zambrano has been moved to the Pen by Manager Lou Pinella. Coming off surgery, Ted Lilly will take Big Z's spot in the starting rotation. Zambrano will be the set up man for closer Carlos Marmol.

Does this mean that Zambrano is one Foot out the Door, or is it just a change in Philosophy?

Pinella is in the last year of his contract. He doesn't give a shit about the player's feelings anymore. Soriano gets taken out of every games he plays for a defensive replacement in the late innings. Big Z gets sent to the pen.

Cubs could be quietly getting on track. I loved seeing Z come out of the pen. Hell, he almost his a grand slam! He got into a bit of trouble, but at least he locked down two outs before that and was able to get away with only giving up one run. I think he'll settle into the set up role in time.

I can live with Silva as the number 4 starting pitcher. Tom Gorzelanny is terrible as a number five starter.

Lou is doing a good job of rotating the outfielders giving rookie Tyler Colvin a start a few times a week.

9-10 is a fucking miracle with 3rd baseman Ramirez slumping all season and Derrek Lee not doing anything after the first week.

And the Cubs win their most recent game by their opponents walking a batter with the bases loaded. If you can't be good, be lucky, I suppose.

Cubs have won three in a row and are now 13-13. Looks like they'll contend for the NL Wild Card spot. The only chance the Cubs have to win their division is if Carpenter or Wainwright gets hurt.

It's really over now. 1-5 road trip followed by a loss to Florida tonight. This is one of the worst Cubs teams in recent memory.

I would think "recent memory" should extend past 2006, when the Cubs lost almost 100 games, and were the worst team in the National League.

Just discovered this idiotic post of mine. I don't know if they can get it on track, not unless Lee & Ramirez get their asses in gear and stop weighing down the ship.

This team seems to streak so much that a final record of 81-81 seems just about right.

You did amazingly have to go to the bullpen in the first inning, which I've not seen in my (admittedly, short) time of watching baseball, in one of the games against us. Although the Cardinals kinda suck at the moment too.

Wells didn't have it. Lou thankfully got him out of there early. Wells tossed a total of 16 pitches.

Cards seem to be coasting right now. They should win the division. They are by far the best team in the division. I may not like them but I recognize their talent.

have beaten the Cubs this year. The frigging Pirates.
